If you wear your glasses all the time and it's the right size, you can measure from screw to screw and this value will be your ideal frame width.

Temple (arm) length
The temples should remain level against the side of your head and rest comfortably against your ears.
Bridge width
The bridge width is between the eyes above the nose. The ideal length of the nasal spacing is shorter for nearsighted eyes, while the ideal length of the nasal spacing is longer for farsighted eyes.
